Creating (hyper) links

A link is a line somebody can click on, which take that person to another web page (or another document).

‘Hyperlink’ is the term used by MS-Word for normal links.

Example of a link: “Click here to visit our website.”

To create one in Microsoft Word you would do the following:

  • Highlight the text you want to turn into a link
  • Click on Hyperlink on the Insert menu item or just press Ctrl+K
  • Select the file you want to link to or just type in the URL (e.g. http://rapid-website.com) to link to
  • Remember that if you select a file it have to be in your web root (source input folder) to work with Rapid-website
